A young man from the neighborhood, whom she had called "brother" and admired like family since childhood, passed away and she received his belongings. It was a charm that he always carried with him and a notebook. He loved travelling, and he recorded all memories of each place he visited in that notebook, keeping them as a diary.
Several years later, when Rinka had grown up and reached the same age he was when he passed away, she decided herself to go traveling with his charm and notebook in her hand. It was driven by a desire to see the world that beloved brother had experienced, and to show him the world he never had chance to see. She relives his memories, traveling many places and encountering many different Kemono along the way.
